Dear ^^INITIATIVE.AUDIENCE MEMBER.FIRST NAME^^,

For 150 years, Memorial Day in America has been a proud salute to the military men and women who gave their lives for our nation. On May 28, a wreath will be laid at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Millions will visit the gravesites of loved ones lost in service. And at 3 o'clock, our nation will pause for a moment of silence.

At the same time, thousands of paralyzed veterans are struggling with their own lives that changed forever in battle. They're still fighting for benefits they already earned. Still struggling to make a living and regain their independence. ^^INITIATIVE.AUDIENCE MEMBER.FIRST NAME^^, it's important to remember them, too.

That's why I'm asking you to take two quick actions today that will help raise awareness for them:

  1. Read this blog post about the true meaning of Memorial Day

  2. Share our Facebook post here to let your friends and families know they can help, too
Memorial Day is the time we remember the military men and women who paid the ultimate sacrifice serving our country. Honor their service by helping our wounded heroes who are still struggling today.
Finally, I encourage you to take a moment of your Memorial Day to remember the fallen – and the injured. They all loved our country enough to protect it, and it's up to us all to return the favor.

Many thanks,
Carl Blake
