Don't let history repeat itself. Help our wounded heroes today. Donate Today
Dear ^^INITIATIVE.AUDIENCE MEMBER.FIRST NAME^^,

On the same day a bullet lodged into my spine and left me paralyzed, we lost a lot of good men – and good friends. I always wanted to be a Marine, and I was proud to serve my country in Vietnam. After everything I had sacrificed, I was expecting a warm welcome when I returned home. Instead, I was spit on and called horrible names.

Thousands of Vietnam veterans are still struggling today. That's why Paralyzed Veterans of America is raising $22,000 for National Vietnam War Veterans Day. I hope you'll join with us. Donate now to help our injured heroes finally get the benefits and support they earned .
It isn't too late to help our paralyzed veterans.
I was left paralyzed – and nearly left for dead – in Vietnam. When I came home, it didn't get much better. People thought we were evil. And we couldn't even talk about it freely because nobody understood what we had been through. So I just went home.

I took my uniform off, packed it away and I stayed in my house for months. Eventually, I knew it was time to get outside and do what I could. Thanks to the support of friends like you, Paralyzed Veterans fought for my benefits and helped me get back to living a life I could be proud of. It's been my privilege to serve as national vice president of Paralyzed Veterans since 2015.

^^INITIATIVE.AUDIENCE MEMBER.FIRST NAME^^, you can help another seriously injured veteran on the road to recovery. Donate now!
