Block Party Fun

The Abrons Amphitheater was alive with music, dancing and even a little bilingual karaoke as Henry Street Settlement’s Abrons Arts Center hosted the Summer Block Party on Friday, July 28th. Activities highlighted Abrons’ arts contributions to the community, with arts and crafts, music and a video game tournament.

CANDIDATE FORUM: THE CROWDED FIELD TO REPRESENT DISTRICT 2

A lively standing-room-only crowd filled the Boys & Girls Republic to hear seven candidates vying for the District 2 seat on the New York City Council. The Candidate Forum, sponsored by Henry Street Settlement and the Women’s Political Caucus of New York City, was moderated by David Garza, Executive Director of Henry Street. WELCOME BACK TO THE NEIGHBORHOOD!

The Lower East Side became even more beautiful with the reopening of the Henry M. Jackson Playground.
