Jody Epstein, CPDT-KA will be joining the leadership team at Second Chance Center for Animals in March, 2017 as the Behavior and Training Manager. This is a newly created position designed to address the behavioral needs of our shelter residents and help them become ready for adoption and their new role as ‘family member’.

Adoption Event This Weekend

On Saturday, March 4 and Sunday, March 5, let love change your world! Join us for adoptions at Petco. Second Chance Dogs will be in attendance and available for adoption on both days, there are Second Chance Cats at Petco, Flagstaff, Arizona every day of the week.

Shelter Me Pet Photography

More and more shelters are recognizing the power of photography and how a great picture can compel a viewer to visit a shelter and a bad picture can scare them away. All volunteers and staff are invited to participate in this half day workshop – free of charge – and then work with the professional photographers hands-on with our shelter pets!

Second Chance Center for Animals – the only organization that “rescues from the rescues” in Northern Arizona – announced today that it has accepted an invitation to join the prestigious Purina® Shelter Champions partnership program. The Shelter Champions partnership program was created in 2016 by Purina to achieve a mission shared by Purina and select animal shelters across the United Stated to find more homes for more adoptable pets.
