Friday, November 1st, it was announced that No One Left Behind was selected to participate in the Uber Community Impact Initiative. We are excited to launch this partnership with Uber to lessen transportation as a barrier to accessing opportunity for those in need.
We were one of 70+ local organizations across the US and Canada that were selected as a partner.

Washington, DC (Nov 1, 2019) – No One Left Behind announced today that it has been selected to participate in the Uber Community Impact Initiative (CII). Support from Uber through CII will help ensure transportation is no longer a barrier to our wartime allies as they begin their new lives in the United States.
“No One Left Behind is extremely excited about this partnership. As we fulfill our mission of saving and supporting America's wartime allies, Uber's assistance will allow for us to offer subsidized transportation during the first few weeks of resettlement as these heroes start their new lives in America," No One Left Behind chairman Brian Steblay said.
Special Immigrant Visa (SIV) recipients face a number of barriers resettling in the United States. Often they are forced to leave their home country quickly as they and their families are in peril, leaving little to no time to make arrangements for arrival in the United States.
Uber’s assistance will go a long way to helping SIV families get on their feet upon arrival in the US, whether it be by transporting them to job interviews, medical appointments, or to other vital services.

Each year, Uber teams up with nonprofits across the region to support the cities in which we operate and help create opportunities for all. This year’s class of Community Impact Initiative partners includes organizations in many fields including [fields] that are working to positively impact [CITY] through their work.
